Barbara Ann (Baughman) Holovka

Holovka, Mrs. Barbara Ann (Baughman), 82, Windber, died March 23, 2015 at UPMC Montefiore, Pittsburgh.   Born May 8, 1932 in Windber.   Daughter of Charles and Teressa (Hughes) Baughman.   Preceded in death by parents, her loving husband, George,  and brother, Charles Baughman.   Survived by children:   Kathleen, married to Clifford Mareino, Quarryville, Pa and Brad, married to Robin Holovka, Summerhill, Pa.;   granddaughters Kimberly, married to Daniel Hilton, Lancaster, Pa; Kristi, married to DP Smith, Mountville, Pa; and Cortney Holovka, Johnstown; great-grandchildren Tyler, Ryan and Jason Hilton; Justin and Alison Smith. Also survived by sister Tressa Marie married to Anthony Ercole, Hershey, Pa.   Mrs. Holovka was a life-long resident of Windber.   She was a graduate of Windber High School class of 1950 and was involved in Little League Baseball for over 44 years.   She served as a Little League District Administrator for 17 years and was inducted into the Windber Hall of Fame in 2005 and also inducted into the Somerset County Baseball Old Timers Association in 2011. She served as a member of the Windber School Board and the Johnstown Vo-Tech School Board for over 20 years.   She was a member of  St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, Windber and several other community organizations.   Barbara felt strongly about her community and giving back was important to her.   She was an amazing friend to many special people and will be sadly missed by her family and friends.   The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home Inc., Windber.   Liturgy will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Friday at St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church, Windber, preceded by a brief service at the funeral home at 9:30.   Msgr.
