Norman Milton Weis

Weis, Norman M., 84, Windber, died July 12, 2016 in Ashland, KY.  Born Aug. 20, 1931 in Windber son of the late Bruce and Alverda (Shaffer) Weis.  Also preceded in death by sister Dorothy Carolus and infant son David Norman.Survived by wife of 59 years former Janet Blackburn, and daughter Cindy, wife of Bob Lucas, Ashland, KY.   Grandfather to Tom (Lindsey) Lucas and Mike (Mallory Baldridge) Lucas.  Brother of Bruce, Dick (Mary Lou), and Jack Weis, Esther Barnes, and Ruth (Harry) Doyle. Norman proudly served his country as a corporal in the Army during the Korean War.  He was employed by former A & P Supermarket and later Giant Eagle.  Hobbies included woodworking, painting, and he enjoyed nature & long walks in the woods.  Member of the Berkey Church of the Brethren.The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 Saturday at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home, Inc., Windber.
