Rest in peace, my dear JoeyZ. I loved our discussions, you were a rare friend and shall always be my #1 Beta Reader. I was just thinking the other day how excited you would be to finally have my book in print next week.

I know you're watching down over all of us and I send you a hug and promise I will still journey to that porch we spoke of often to meet your friends. Don't forget you promised to introduce me.

Fly high, JoeyZ. The pain is gone and your new fabulous life in Heaven begins. Play a polka for me, okay? ((HUGS))

------

My condolences to JoeyZ's family. He was an awesome man who shall be missed by many. Don't cry that he's gone, rejoice that he lived.

Tony and family, I send sincere condolences to you on the passing of Joey. He was a great friend of mine and I always enjoyed our conversations. I had the pleasure of re-releasing several of his recordings on my Spotlight label and always thought he needed to be more recognized for his work. He wrote some really nice music and it will survive as testament to his musical abilities. I was quite shocked to hear of his passing and I hope that he will rest in peace. God Bless.

I am deeply saddened by his loss. My condolences to the Zupanchick family. As his cousin, I have fond memories of family gatherings and watching him sing and play his music at various events. He was an extremely creative and talented musician, who appreciated all types of music. He had a great sense of humor and loved his friends and family. With his sensitive and caring nature, he felt his music in his heart and soul. Although I live in California, he would still chat with me on Facebook and share his thoughts and dreams about music and life. He has now found his peace with God and with his loved ones on the other side. He will still continue to inspire so many with the gifts he brought to this world. Rest in peace, Joey!
Love and prayers, Jennifer Pipon

I am so sorry to the entire family for the loss of such a wonderful, caring, loving and talented member. I will miss our late night chats when neither of us could sleep and Joey's deep appreciation for so many genres of music. He had such a deep knowledge of so many artists, present and past. He loved the time he spent with Tony and his dad playing polkas and told many, many stories of various performances and goings-on. Joey will never be forgotten, not only because his love of and talent for music has been recorded, but because he touched so many people in his all too short life. God rest your soul my friend.

My sincere condolences go out to the families and many friend's of Joe. His music will live on forever in our heart's. It was my honor knowing Joe, and I wish now that I could have had more time to give to his friendship. Our last conversation was over the phone reminising of the first time he visited my hometown of Fontana California and going to Joe Mlakar's Elbow Room. I surprised Joe by putting Papa Joe Mlakar on the phone to say hello. It sure pepped Joe up and made his day! He was a real character with a heck of a sense of humor. I'll miss our brother! Rest in peace Joe. Until we meet again, keep our music going in Heaven! Love, always and forever! ♡ Frank
