My heart goes out to Mary Alice and all of Dave's family. He will be missed by many. And remembered as one of the really good guys. My most vivid memories of our high school friendship are of playing hockey on his family's pond on Sunday and going to school on Monday, sore but exhilerated. And then there was the rainy night when I helped him tow an antique car. He drove the truck while I steered the car, getting soaked because of the huge holes in the rusted floor. We laughed then and we laughed again as we remembered that night during our 55th high school reunion after so many years. I admire him greatly for the building a successful business from something he enjoyed so much. Too few of us have done that.

Dave was more than a cousin to me. He was more like an older brother that I grew up with. Living the next house up the road, I spent countless hours of my youth watching David deconstruct anything mechanical. His abilities were phenomenal. No machine ever scared or intimidated Dave. He introduced me to a world of cars beyond what anyone else had seen or known in Windber. Cars like Borgwards, Saabs and Renaults to name just a few. He was amazing, fascinating and certainly never boring. Although I moved half-way around the world almost 50 years ago, I always enjoyed visiting Dave when I would return to Windber. Fortunately, I got to see him again just this month. I already miss him terribly. My thoughts and prayers are with you Mary Alice, Mary Ann, Janet and all the family. Much love and aloha to everyone.

Jeff, Dawn, and family, we are so so sorry to hear of your dad's passing. He was such a great guy and in just the few years we have known him has left so many great memories with us and your family. Mini-bike reunions, seeing him enjoying his cars, hearing about his travel and expeditions, swim meets, and kids shows. What a great legacy and memories he has left on everyone he touched and the great people he raised as children and grandchildren. We will keep you and your family in our prayers and as we honor his passing and celebrate his life. God Bless.

Mary Alice, Dave, Jeff and Family
We have had the pleasure of knowing Dave, Jeff, and family for 20 years through Antique Cars and minibikes. Only special people would provide the fun and memories
we all have experienced at the mini bike reunions. We will miss Dave’s welcoming, and hearing about his latest projects at the reunion. It has been and honor and privilege to be a good friend of Dave and his family. The Lord has called for him to serve him and we all will miss him dearly. THANK YOU Dave for all you’ve done for everyone! God Bless You!

I treasured knowing one of my mom's favorite cousins. I can't say a word to heal the families pain, but I find comfort knowing he is with my favorite Great Aunt, my gram and a cousin who loved him dearly, Barbara. Dave always welcomed me into the fold. I'll never forget him. He helped me immensely after my mom died in words, hugs, support and STORIES. I'm sorry my cousins for this huge gaping loss. My heart hurts for you <3

Frank and I will miss Dave in so many ways. His unique personality made us laugh and shake our heads at times as he always told you exactly what he thought. But from day one we saw what a hard working, generous and loving man he was. There wasn't anything he would not do for you. He could repair, restore and build just about anything. Most of all he loved Mary Alice, my dear sister, with all his heart and soul and even after 53+ years of marriage he always reached for her hand and wanted her beside him. He was our brother-in-law but was also our friend - and we can't have too many friends so we feel blessed that he was a big part of our lives. Dave, we know you are with God and His angels but you left us too soon. Watch over us and we will see you again one day.
