Zankey, Yolanda L. "VI", 98, Windber, passed away February 18, 2021 at Richland Healthcare & Rehabilitation. Born June 22, 1922 in Windber, daughter of the late Luigi and Lisa (Simoni) Maffeo. Preceded in death by husband, Albert A. "Zeke" Zankey; brothers, Frank and John Maffeo; and sisters, Lillian Summers and Emma Rebochak. Survived by loving sons, John Zankey Sr. married to Louise; and Gary Zankey married to Irene, all of Windber; grandchildren, John Zankey Jr., Windber; Zachary Zankey, Richland; and Katy Zankey, Johnstown; also by sister, Mary Panetti, Georgia; and numerous nieces and nephews. VI was a retired supervisor from GTE serving over 30 years and was active in the GTE Pioneer's, faithful member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Windber, where she was active in the Church choir; and worked at Windber library. At VI's request there will be no viewing, Friends invited to attend her Funeral mass celebrated  at a later date to be announced at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Windber, Fr. Rod. Committal church cemetery. Cremation arrangements entrusted to Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home of Windber.
