77, Windber, passed away March 1, 2022 at Windber Hospice. Born March 2, 1944 in Windber, son of the late Steve and Helen (Torok) Faher. Survived by loving wife of 56 years, Judith J. (Paxton) Faher; daughters, Stacey married to Mike Hull, all of Windber; Nicole Vivian and former husband, Nicholas, St. Michael; grandchildren, Michael Hull, Noah Vivian, Sophia Vivian, Gabriella Vivian and Stella Vivian. Steve served our country in the U.S. Army Reserves. He retired after 45 years of service at U.S. Steel Corp. Steve was a faithful life member of St. Mary's (Dormition) Byzantine Catholic Church, Windber. He loved sprint car and dirt track racing. He raced a coupe and late models, on local tracks throughout the years. He so enjoyed traveling to Port Royal and Williams Grove racetracks on weekends, to watch races. Steve also loved baseball. His favorite teams were the Pittsburgh Pirates and any team his grandchildren played on. Family will receive friends Friday, March 4th from 2 to 6 p.m. at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home, Windber, where Parastas will be held at 4:30 pm. Divine liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 5th at St. Mary's (Dormition) Byzantine Catholic Church, Windber, Fr. Ivan Rusyn, pastor.
