Borischak, Rose E, 90, Windber, passed away September 24, 2023 at Windber Woods. Born October 4, 1932 in Johnstown, daughter of the late Robert and Ida (Eberhart) Ascher. Preceded in death by beloved husband of 59 years, Andrew J. Borischak; sons Robert and Thomas Borischak; brother Robert Ascher; and granddaughter Kayla Betz. Survived by loving children, daughter, Christine married to Darl Pritt; daughter, Janice Betz; son, Michael Borischak married to Lory; and son, Jeff Borischak married to Gerri. Also survived by daughters-in-law, Pam Borischak and Lynn Borischak; 20 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; sister, Audrey Grasser; sister-in-law, Theresa Wheeler; and by numerous nieces and nephews. Rose was a beautiful soul inside and out. Her greatest achievement was her family and loved nothing more than being around them. She loved the new friends she made at Windber Woods and often reminisced about her old friends from Mine 40. Rose was a Life-time member of the Polish Falcons in Windber and loved to bowl with her beloved Andy in their younger years. The family would like to thank the staff at Windber Woods and Windber Hospice who cared for and loved Rose like their own mother.
