Ronald Maxwell

Ronald W. Maxwell, 66, of Windber passed away early August 28, 2022. Born June 19, 1956 in Windber, son of the late William and Maureen (Wilson) Maxwell. Survived by best friend of 48 years, Helen Maxwell; daughter Sara Foreman and former spouse Thomas Foreman JR; and son Ryan Maxwell. Sisters Pamela Stevens (married to the late Pishta Stevens); Cindy Feyock (husband Dave Feyock); and the late Kathy Ream (husband Charlie Ream). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Ron started working at U.S. Steel when he was 18 years old. He worked as a machine operator in Johnstown for over 35 years and was known to most of his co-workers as Max before he retired. He spent part of his retirement as a baker in Walmart for 5 years. Ron loved spicy foods, playing the PA lottery, and building 3D wooden puzzles. However, what Ron loved more than anything in this world was his granddaughter, Ivy Augusta Foreman. She was the light of his life and Grandpa was Ivy's favorite person ever (sometimes more so than her Mom and Dad!) Ron enjoyed any activities they did together, particularly baking and building puzzles. Ivy will always love and miss her Grandpa, as he will be loved and missed by so many.
