Robert L. DeBiase, Sr., 89, Windber, passed away March 16, 2022 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born March 16, 1933 in Windber. Son of James and Mary (Magazzu) DeBiase. Preceded in death by parents, 1st wife Betty (Graybeck) DeBiase, grandson Robbie DeBiase, brothers Dominick, John, Anthony and James and sisters Josephine Marfizo, Rose DeBiase, Kathryn Badowski and Sarah Dayoob. Survived by wife of 42 years Carol (Green) DeBiase and these children Robert L. DeBiase, Jr., and wife Anita (Rumora) Pittsburgh, Roxanne, wife of John Blough, Richland, Wendy, wife of Mark Kudlawiec, Ebensburg, Scott Penrod (Kim Stiffler), Santa Rosa Beach, Fla. and Shannon, wife of James Eberly, Frostburg, MD. Grandchildren Joseph, Ashley, Adam, Shane, Mitchell, Maggie, Kate, Ally, Delaney and Jace. Great-grandchildren Haven, Kobe, Mason, Haylee, Logan, Charlotte, Zion and numerous nieces and nephews. Robert was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Member St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Windber, where he was a member of the Holy Name Society and finance committee. US Army veteran, where he served in the 101st airborne 45 division Korea 7/1952, He was also in the 3rd infantry regiment Honor guard which guarded the tomb of the unknown soldier and dignitaries from Fort Myers and Arlington Va. Robert received two bronze stars, one for bravery and one for Meritorious service. He was a member of the Windber VFW Post 4795, American Legion Post 137, Moose Lodge 349 and Abruzzi Club. Retired from Bethlehem Steel, Metlife and DeBiase & Levine Associates Inc. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 pm, Friday at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home, Windber, where vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am Saturday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Windber. Fr. Rod Soha, pastor. Military rites by Windber VFW Post 4795 ritual team.
