Richard D. Imler

Imler, Richard D., 76, Richland Township, passed away October 10, 2023 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born January 27, 1947 in Johnstown, son of the late Robert J. and Lillian R. (Dittmar) Imler. Preceded in death by infant son, Richard Imler; grandson, Derrick Imler; and brother, Ronald Imler. Survived by loving wife of 59 years, Barbara J. (Hahn) Imler; sons, Michael D. married to Tabatha; and Ryan D. married to Buffy; grandchildren, Collin Imler married to Emily; Connor, Nathan, Lauren, Sydney and Chase Imler; also by sister in law, Bonnie Imler. Richard enjoyed attending his grandchildren's sporting events and gathering with his breakfast club. He will be remembered for his smile, kind nature and positive attitude. Richard was a dedicated engineer for nearly 40 years, most recently retiring as Plant Manager of the Seward Generating Station. He was a devout Catholic, faithful member of St. Benedict Catholic Church in Geistown. Family will receive friends Friday, October 13th from 2 to 4 p.m. & 6 to 8 p.m. at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home of Windber, where vigil service will be held. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 14th at St. Benedict Catholic Church, Geistown, Fr. David Peles. Committal Grandview Mausoleum.
