Nanette Denise Casado

Casado, Nanette Denise, 63, West End of Johnstown, passed away April 28, 2023, at Memorial Medical Center. Born March 26, 1960, in Johnstown, daughter of the late Nelson J. and Agnes L. (Cicon) Barnes. Preceded in death by sister, Sandra Frieben; brother, Dennis Barnes; and by nephews, Chris and Raymond Barnes. Survived by sister, Renee married to Dennis Pritt, West Taylor and by her loving niece who she raised as her own, Jaylynn Thompson; and nephews and nieces Dennis Barnes, Dan and Karen Frieben Roscoe. Eric, Brian, Heather Pritt. Nanette loved all her nephews and nieces dearly. She was like a second mother to them when they were growing up. She was always there for them. Each of them have fond memories of times spent with her. Nanette loved the beach and Roscoe and Heather will always remember the times they spent at the beach. She was especially close to her niece Heather. Heather will always remember the long talks they had together. She loved her dog Baba Dog who passed away a few days after her. She loved to read mystery books. She worked at Johnstown America Corporation Franklin Division. The bonds we have are everlasting, grace surrounds us always and is the nurture of God's Love. Watch for your angel. At the request of Nanette, there will be no viewing or service. Arrangements entrusted to Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home of Windber.
