Michael Joseph Petrunak

Petrunak, Michael Joseph, 95, of Windber, passed away June 30, 2020 at Windber Woods. Born September 18, 1924 in South Fork, son of the late Phillip and Ann (Barbuschak) Petrunak. Survived by loving wife of 68 years, Dorothy Fern (Drummond) Petrunak, Windber; sons, Michael A. married to Karen (Carolus) Petrunak; David P. married to Rose (Zeglin) Petrunak; Phillip J. married to Lisa (Click) Petrunak; and James A. married to Ann (Rapsky) Petrunak; daughter, Patricia A. married to James Coffman; 13 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren. Michael was a U.S. Marine Veteran serving during WWII, and retired from the Homer City Power Plant.  Faithful life member of SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, Windber, and the South Fork Jednota. He enjoyed sports especially football, gardening, his family and his dog Rambo. Michael was a kind hearted and loving soul and his children will always remember his hard work ethic that he passed along to them. Though we cannot see or hear you, your presence will always be with us. So very blessed to have you in our lives, you are forever in our hearts, rest in peace. Private viewing for his immediate family will be held at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home, Windber. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 6, at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Windber, Fr. Rod Soha. Committal All Faiths Chapel & Mausoleum, Richland Township. Memorial donations may be directed to SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, Windber, in his memory.
