Single, Mary A., 89, Windber, passed away June 19, 2023 at Windber Woods. Born February 8, 1934 in Windber. Daughter of Steve and Mary (Findish) Danko. Preceded in death by parents, husband David D. Single Sr, son David Jr, Sister Bernadine (Danko) Babus, and Brother John A. Danko. Survived by Brother Stephen W. Danko (Josephine) of Texas, Sisters Rose Mary (Ralph) Manotti and Louise (John) Zankey both of Windber and her many nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Windber. Mary Ann worked at Lee Hospital Johnstown as a registered nurse and then as Director of Surgery. She also taught nursing at Mount Aloysius College in Cresson, she also was a consultant for medical centers in California Imperial Valley and San Diego. The family will receive friends from 10 until time of Memorial Mass at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 19th at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Windber.
