Louise M. (Sherlock) Aust passed from this life to Heavenly paradise on April 21, 2021. She was born October 12, 1952 in Windber, PA; daughter of the late John E. Sherlock and Pauline (Packan) Sherlock. She is preceded in death by her parents, her brother John R. Sherlock, and her sisters Christine Maschue and Patricia Boburchuk. She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Louis Aust; her loving daughter, Lea M. Aust of California; her dear sister, Mary VanRaden of Michigan; and numerous beloved brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins. Louise graduated from Windber High School and studied at the Art Institute of Pittsburgh. She then worked as a medical office manager for 25 years. She was a devout Catholic and member of St. John Gualbert parish where she faithfully served as a Eucharistic Minister. Louise volunteered for many organizations including the Boy Scouts of America, The ARC, and Windber Hospice. She loved animals, reading, music, and trivia. She was an avid bird-watcher, and enjoyed watching sports. Louise loved Monarch butterflies, and she spent the last years of her life raising them with her daughter and teaching others about them. Her sense of humor, warm heart, and ability to make friends with anyone and everyone will be very deeply missed. Family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday, April 26 at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home, Windber, where vigil service will be held. Funeral mass will be celebrated 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 27 at St. John Gualbert Cathedral, Johnstown, Very Rev. James F. Crookston. Committal St. Joseph Mausoleum, Geistown.
