Lila L. (Lehman) Berkey

Berkey, Lila L., 94, Windber, passed peacefully surrounded by her family on April 21, 2024 at Windber Woods.  Born March 25, 1930 in Windber, daughter of the late Norman and Minnie (Baumgardner) Lehman.  Preceded in death by loving husband, Melvin G. Berkey. Survived by these children, Cindi, wife of John Papinchak, Windber; Kevin, married to the former Elizabeth (Reynolds), Destin, Florida; and Gayle, wife of John Toki, Windber; grandchildren, Kim wife of Joe Quinn, Jason Berkey (Katie), and Jeffrey Berkey; great-grandchildren, Meghan, Evan, and Isaac Quinn; Carter and Greyson Berkey; great-great grandchild, Daxtyn Oldham. Also sister-in-law, Myrtle Stiffler, Windber. Lifelong member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Windber, where she was active in the choir.   Her family was most important to Lila. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Friends received Tuesday, April 23rd from 11:00 a.m. until time of service to begin Noon at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Windber. Arrangements entrusted to Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home of Windber. Interment Richland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church c/o the building fund, 514 Shady Ln., Windber, PA 15963 or Dementia Research in memory of Lila.
