Antonishek, John, 89, Windber, entered into eternal life April 16, 2022 at Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown. Born March 13, 1933 in Windber, son of the late Alex and Anna (Conjelko) Antonishek. Preceded in death by brothers, Theodore, Joseph and Alex; grandson, Ian Gabriel; and sisters in law, Elizabeth, Shirley Antonishek and Helen Antonishak; and by brother in law, Lester Reitz. Survived by his best friend and loving wife of 61 years, Barbara Jane (Fox) Antonishek, Windber; sons, Michael John Antonishek married to Paula (Fleegle), Windber; John Keith Antonishek married to Sandy (Vora), Poolesville, Maryland; and Brian Antonishek married to Dr. Linda (Marko), Damascus, Maryland; grandchildren, Justin, Alex, Abigail, Zoe, Zachary, Grace, Ella and Megan, also by brother, George Antonishek; sister in law, Margaret Reitz; and numerous nieces and nephews of whom he was very fond of. John was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Korean War, retired from the Lower Cambria Machine Shop of Bethlehem Steel Corp., and was a faithful life member of SS. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, Windber. John loved people and much preferred to sit and talk awhile and use his great sense of humor. Life’s a journey, enjoy the ride!
