Kush, Joan M. (White), 79, of Westmont, passed away peacefully, Monday, June 5, 2023, at home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born March 7, 1944, in Philadelphia, PA, to her parents Francis & Marjorie (Geddes) White. She is preceded in death by her parents Francis & Marjorie (Geddes) White, stepmother Yolanda White, and sister, Barbara Leonardis. Survived by husband Arthur Kush, Sr., sister Francis (White) Wilson fiancée of Robert Foster, her children Arthur Kush, Jr., Michael Kush and Marjorie Harrity, wife of Nicholas Harrity. Grandchildren include Brandon Kush husband of Alyssa Kush, Jarred Kush, and Nichole Harrity, which she loved dearly. Joan was a loving mother and lifelong Jehovah’s Witness; she was an avid gardener and had an unwavering love of ALL flowers. Those who were fortunate to be her neighbors in Salix and Cairnbrook were blessed with a beautiful love of flowers. Joan was a 1962 graduate of Windber High School. She was always willing to assist someone in need, often going out of her way to help. She was an excellent cake baker and enjoyed the smiles her delights brought to others. Family will receive friends at 10:15AM on Friday, June 16, 2023, for service to begin at 10:30AM at The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 35 Joseph Street, Windber, PA 15963, for a Funeral service talk. Joan would insist on saving the flowers, therefore donations may be made to The Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses or the American Cancer Society.
