Jean B. (Yocca) Tengeres

Tengeres, Jean B., 93, Windber, went to be with the Lord on May 30, 2023. Born June 23, 1929 in Windber. Daughter of Frank and Assunta (Contasti) Yocca. Preceded in death by parents, husband George A. Tengeres, Sr., son George Tengeres Jr., sisters Angeline (Alfred) Leonardis, Mary (Tony) Scaglione, Anne L. (Arthur) Vespa, brothers John (Ida) Yocca, Joseph Yocca, Nunzio (Flora) Yocca and daughter-in-law Laurie (Miller) Tengeres. Survived by these children Frank (Sally) Tengeres, Millerstown, PA, Joseph Tengeres, Falling Water, WV and Jeanne Ann (Freddy) Killam, Tampa Fl. Grandchildren Jonathan Tengeres, Nicole Stinson, Toni Tengeres, Caitlin Thomas and Jill Tengeres. Great-grandchildren Virgil, Raylan, Vincent, Quinn and Addie. God-children Sarah Wissler, Amelia Frasca Kaufman and Karen Tengeres Marshall. Also daughter-in-law Pat Tengeres and many nieces, nephews, close friends and family. Last surviving member of the Frank Yocca family. Member St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Windber, where she was a member of the choir, Windber Senior Center for Life, Senior Chorus, Senior tap Seniorettes. 1946 graduate of Windber High School.  Former secretary and organist. She loved music, crafts, baking and gardening. Special thanks to AseraCare Hospice and Forest Hills Personal Care Home.  The family will receive friends and family from 4 to 6 pm Friday at Meek and Dalla Valle Funeral Home, Windber, where a vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am, Saturday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Windber officiated by Fr. Rod Soha, TOR, pastor. Interment St. Cyril & Methodius Cemetery, Windber. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Windber or a charity of your choice in memory of Jean.
