Barta, Jean C., 88, Windber, passed away Jan. 7, 2021 at Windber Hospice. Born Sept. 29, 1932 in Windber. Daughter of Nick and Dolores Maffeo. Preceded in death by parents, husband Louis, Sr., son Louis, Jr. “Buddy,” sisters Mary Ann Maffeo, Millie Novak and Angie Studnary, brothers Nick, Jr., and Frank Maffeo and also 5 brothers-in-law and 2 sisters-in-law. Survived by sister Connie Turcato and numerous nieces and nephews. Member St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Windber. Jean was formerly employed at Windber Medical Center as a receptionist. At the request of the deceased, services will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Holly Maffeo, 1221 3rd. St., Windber, PA 15963 in memory of Jean. Arrangements by Meek and Dalla Valle Funeral Home, Windber.
