Preceded in death by parents, in-laws Charles (Butch) and Margaret (Peg) Toth; brother, Wayne Shaffer and brothers-in-laws Edward (Joe) and Donald (Babe) Toth and beloved dachshund, Shelby. Survived by her loving husband of 41 years, John E. Toth, of Windber. Janet is also survived by the following siblings, Linda wife of Don Evanchock, of Hooversville, Allan, married to Julie Shaffer, of Somerset, Kathy wife of Michael Kubas, of Stoystown; sister-in-law Betty Ann Shaffer, of Windber, brother and sister-in-law, Michael & Rebecca Toth, of Harrisburg; sister-in-law, Candice Toth of Las Vegas, NV; and sister-in-law, Susan Toth, of Wilmore; and numerous nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was a 1969 graduate of Windber Area High School, Johnstown Vo-Tech's LPN Program and Penn State Mont Alto's Physical Therapy Assistant Program. She worked at Memorial Medical Center for 37+ years and was an LPN and PTA where she retired. Also worked at Windber Area Elementary School as a teacher's aide. She was a life long member of Berkey Church of the Brethren. Janet had many passions in life including teaching and baking with Kylie, her flower gardens (which were her pride and joy) and traveling with her husband and family. Some of her favorite/most cherished travels include going to the Outer Banks with her daughters and grandkids; multiple trips out west with her husband; and most importantly their trip and cruise to Alaska. She was an avid Penn State, Steelers, and Penquins fan. Janet had a huge heart of gold and was always willing to help anyone. She leaves a large void in this world, but she will always be remembered and never forgotten. Now you can help tend the eternal gardens in heaven.
