James R. Wissinger

Wissinger, James R., 58, Windber, passed away February 21, 2020 at Windber Hospital. Born December 5, 1961 in Johnstown, son of the late Russell and Helen Ann (Borischak) Wissinger. Survived by loving wife, Sharon L. (Bossi) Wissinger, Windber; sons, Taylor Keiper married to Kaylee (Hollern), Windber; and Jacob Wissinger, Pittsburgh; granddaughter, Adeline E. Keiper; brothers, Ronald Wissinger and companion Christine, Windber; and David Wissinger married to Gina, Windber; also survived by aunt Tess Wheeling; in-laws, Ray and Pat Bossi, the Henger and Barrick families and numerous nieces and nephews. James was employed as a Quality Engineer for Lockheed Martin,  member of the Windber Moose where he participated in the pool league; Polish Education Club, Polish Falcons; Windber American Legion; Slovak Club; Windber Sportsman’s Club; 42 Club; Jim was an accomplished second degree black belt who enjoyed motorcycle rides, spending time with his many close friends, from both work and quad trips. He will be remembered as a dedicated and selfless husband, father, pappy and friend who could “MacGyver” anything. One of his favorite quotes “The thoughts of the diligent tend only to plenty; but the thoughts of everyone who is hasty only to poverty.” Family will receive friends Monday, February 24th, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home, 1312 Graham Ave. Windber, where Funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 25th, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev.
