Lehman, Homer G., 91, Windber, passed away May 24, 2021 at Windber Hospice. Born Oct. 28, 1929 in Windber. Son of John T. and Isabelle (Poet) Lehman. Preceded in death by parents, 1st wife Joan (Henderson), 2nd wife Marian A. (Wirick) Durst-Lehman and infant daughter Gaynal. Survived by son Gerald and wife Deborah (Kodis), Windber, grandsons John Lehman and wife Chandra (Petry) and their son Grant, Greer, SC and Jacob Lehman and wife Lindsay (Dooley) and their son Thomas, Pittsburgh. Step-children Lynn Durst (Gail), Lori Shope (Bob) and Rebecca Durst (Arnie). Also step-grandchildren Jeremy Durst, Laura Petrilla, Adam Mickle, Dianna Briesmeister and Steven Penrod. Lifelong member of Windber Church of the Brethren. Army veteran, where he served in Germany. Member of Windber VFW Post 4795 and Windber American Legion Post 137. Also Homer was a member of the Windber Volunteer Fire Co., where he was past chief and was a Pennsylvania State fire training instructor. He retired from the former Whalley Ford, Windber. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm, Thursday at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home, Windber, where funeral will be held at 1:30 pm Friday. Pastor Joe Brown, officiating. Interment Richland Cemetery. Military graveside rites by Windber VFW Post 4795 ritual team.
