Gregory D. Walko

Walko, Gregory D., 70, Windber, passed away Nov. 21, 2022. Born May 18, 1952 in Windber. Son of the late Virginia (Walko), wife of Thomas Klustner. Also preceded in death by grandparents Stephen F. and Anna (Pruchnik) Walko by whom he was raised. Survived by wife of 50 years, Charlene (Greene) Walko; children Gregory S. Walko and wife Judy (Marks), Munroe Falls, OH, Jennifer M., wife of Robert Culp, Johnstown; grandchildren Morgan Walko, Sydney Walko, R. Aiden Culp, and Adelynn Culp. Greg was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He will be remembered for his outgoing personality, keen sense of humor and ability to tell a great story. He was also a man of great faith. He was a member of the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church and Ushers Club where he served weekly mass as well as countless funeral services. When his health allowed, he enjoyed volunteering for his church community by delivering meals for parish fish fries and working the annual summer festival. The family will receive friends from 9:00 am to 10:30 am Friday at Meek and Dalla Valle Funeral Home, Windber. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am Friday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Committal St. John’s cemetery, Windber. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church in memory of Greg.
