ANTONISHEK, George "Judge," 95, Windber, entered into eternal life on Sept. 11, 2023. Born May 9, 1928 in Windber. Son of Alex and Anna (Conjelko). Preceded in death by parents, loving wife, Elizabeth (Sapolich) dec. 1988; brothers, Theodore, Alex, Joseph and John; sisters-in-law, Helen Antonishak and Shirley Antonishek; and daughter-in-law, Linda (Chovanec) Antonishek. Survived by children, David, Mt Holly Springs, PA; Aaron and wife Suzann (Belz), Glen Bernie, MD; and Barbara Ann Goughnour, Windber. Proud grandfather to Elizabeth (Goughnour), wife of Denny Miller; Christina (Goughnour), wife of Evan Krisay; Brandon Antonishek; and Justine (Antonishek), wife of Richard Brown. Great-grandchildren, Ada, Addison, Rosaleigh and Scarlette. Also sister-in-law, Barbara (Fox) Antonishek. Member SS. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, Windber. George retired from Bethlehem Steel G.O., where he worked as a draftsman. He was formerly employed at Chrysler Motor Co., Detroit, MI. Army veteran of the Korean War. Avid bowler and horseshoe player. George loved all sports including baseball and football, especially the playoffs and liked visiting casinos and ocean beaches. He constructed many model airplanes and enjoyed ice skating and roller skating. Surf Up! Get an ice cold Coors Light and enjoy! The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Friday at Meek and Dalla Valle Funeral Home, Windber where Panachida will be held at 7:00 pm. Funeral service will be celebrated at 10 am Saturday at SS. Peter and Paul Orthodox Church, Windber. The very Rev. Miles Zdinak, pastor. Committal church cemetery. Military graveside rites by Windber VFW Post 4795 ritual team. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to SS.
