Florence Ann Kalsi

Kalsi, Florence Ann, 82, Gonzales, Louisiana, formerly of Vienna, Virginia,  passed away February 26, 2021 at Francois Bend Senior Living Center. Born December 7, 1938 in Windber, daughter of the late Anello and Balbina (Roscetti) Colameco. Preceded in death by husband, Jawahar Kalsi, son, Rahul Kalsi; and sister, Vera DeLuca. Survived by sons, Kabir Sunder Kalsi, Louisiana; Nanak Shanti Kalsi, Virginia; Rahim Balbina Kalsi married to Candice, Illinois; Janak Roscetti Kalsi, Colorado; grandson, Sebastian Kalsi. She was a faithful Catholic, incredibly devoted resilient forgiving Mother and loving Wife. Her smile was infectious and light up the room. Her affinity for cooking had her making Indian and Italian food better than her peers and family members. She had boundless energy and her love of health food and herbs made all of us around her better people. She enjoyed history, crime documentaries and being with family above all else. A Windber native who upon graduation moved to Washington D.C. and met her future husband Jawahar Kalsi at the voice of America.  Family will receive friends at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. departure for Funeral mass celebrated 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 8th, at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Windber, Fr. Rod. Committal church cemetery.
