Jerley, Mrs. Eleanor M., 87, Windber, passed away May 27, 2018. She was born August 14, 1930 in Hastings, daughter of the late William Price, Margaret and step father John Desort. Preceded in death by parents and the love of her life, her precious husband, John, whom she has been waiting to reunite with for 36 years. Survived by sons: Brian, Windber, Barry, husband to the former Elizabeth Lewis, with whom she resided for the last 11 years. Grandchildren, Krystal, married to Zachary Hunter, Brad and Megan Jerley, all of Windber. They were the light of her life. She lit up whenever she spoke their names. She was truly proud of each and every one of them. Also survived by Patty (Rose) Jerley, mother of Brad and Megan. Eleanor will be deeply missed by her loving family and longtime, dear friend, Dorothy Mash. Eleanor, Dorothy and dearly departed friend, Agnes Gumbita, made up the special trio we liked to call the “Golden Girls.” The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 pm Wednesday at Meek and Dalla Valle Funeral Home Inc., Windber. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am Thursday at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Windber. Fr. Larry Lacovic, presiding. Committal St. Anthony of Padua Cemetery in Windber. Barry and Liz wish to sincerely thank their extended family, the Saucedos and the Peifers for the loving support and generosity they demonstrated throughout this difficult journey. They were and continue to be a blessing. Additionally, a very special thanks to Dr. Tamara Hoffman and Chelsea at Gray Medical, Jenn Vizzini, and Ashley Miller, with Heritage Home Health and Vinnie Kensinger, with Penn Hospice. Their kindness, compassion and excellent support were second to none.
