Earnest A. Greathouse Sr.

Greathouse, Earnest A. Sr., 80, Hooversville, passed away October 16, 2023 at Windber Hospital. Born August 22, 1943 in Windber, son of the late Thomas V. and Edna M. (Ankney) Greathouse. Preceded in death by stepdaughter, Donna Marie Snoby; and brother, Raymond Greathouse; sister in law, Linda Greathouse; brother in laws, Jim Gartland; and Bill Hill. Survived by loving wife of 52 years, Caroline E. (Wills) Greathouse; sons, Earnest A. Greathouse Jr. and Dawn, all of Hooversville; and Brian K. Greathouse Sr. married to Christina, Windber; grandchildren, Justin, Ashley, Noah, Kyle, Breeana, Brittany, Courtney, Brian Jr., Mark and Angel; 13 great grandchildren; brothers, Thomas Greathouse; Terry Greathouse married to Debbie; Benny Greathouse; Wayne Greathouse married to Lisa; Eric Greathouse and Donald Greathouse married to Sharon; sisters, Yevonne married to Mike Horwitz; Charlotte Gartland; Mary Jane Hill; and Wanda married to Lester Harvey; also by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Earnest retired as a truck driver after 30 years of service. He enjoyed riding his Harley and attending motorcycle racing events. Family will receive friends Friday, October 20th from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home of Windber.
