David James Stiffler

Stiffler, David J., 66 of Windber, passed away at home April 23, 2022. Born September 6, 1955 in Windber. Preceded in death by father, Paul E. Stiffler; brother, Paul R. Stiffler; nephews, Daniel P. Stiffler and Nathaniel P. Stiffler. Survived by loving mother, Norma J. (Leonardis) Stiffler; sister-in-law, Susan Stiffler, wife of the late Paul R. Stiffler, Pittsburgh; brother, Mark Stiffler married to Sandy, Alum Bank; sisters, Ann married to Todd Moyer, Salix and Karen married to Mike Wadsley, Elkton, MD; and numerous nieces and nephews. David lived in Whittier, California where he worked for 30 years in a paint factory as a Tinter in the lab. He returned home after retiring in 2006 and currently resided with his mother. He really enjoyed fishing, nature and hiking. He also was an avid Pirates and Steelers fan. David had a strong faith. Over the past seven years, he sponsored 82 children from St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. David was a devout Catholic, member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Windber. David will be sorely missed by his loving mother and family. Family will receive friends Tuesday, April 26th from 2 to 4 & 6 to 8 p.m. at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home, Windber, where vigil service will be held in the evening with Fr. Larry. Funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 27th at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Windber, Fr. Rod. Committal church cemetery.
