David D. Single Jr.

Single, David D. Jr., 53, Johnstown, PA, passed away on Feb. 21, 2022. Born July 14, 1968 in Johnstown.  Son of loving parents David D. Sr. and Mary Ann (Danko) Single. Preceded in death by his father, who was his greatest fan and wingman.  Survived by mother and aunts and uncles, Stephen Danko (Josephine) San Antonio, TX;  Rosemary Manotti (Ralph Sr.), Windber, PA; Louise Zankey (John Sr.), Windber, PA ; and a host of many family and friends.  David was a graduate of Richland High School and attended University of Pitt Johnstown and Berkley College of Music in Boston.  He was a talented musician, keyboardist/vocalist, guitar, violin, bass, percussion, songwriter/arranger and producer of all styles of music.  He played in many bands along the Eastern Coast from Disney, FL to his favorite band, Ribbon Grass in Johnstown.  His most recent position was music and choir director for St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Windber for over 20 years where he found a family he loved and felt their love in return.  David's life and heart were filled with music.  It was his gift from God and his gift back to God was sharing it with everyone.  That is how he will be remembered forever in our hearts. Family will receive friends Saturday, April 30th from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Memorial mass celebrated at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Windber, Fr.
