Gerula, Bertha, 91, Windber, passed away December 25, 2020 at Windber Woods. Born November 14, 1929 in Colver, daughter of the late Joseph and Zelda (Goller) Kuhlman. Preceded in death by sister and brother in law who raised her, Mildred and John Allen; husband, Pete Gerula, daughter, Nancy Gerula; brothers, Clyde, Martin Luther, Milton and Dr. William; son in laws, Tony Fritz and Ron Dietz; sister in laws, Helen, Mariam, Gerry and Naomi; step great grandson, Corey Dietz; and step great great grandson, Talon. Survived by loving daughters, Carol Fritz; Judy Dietz; and Shirley McCreary and significant other, Robert Stinebiser, all of Windber; and Betty Gerula, Matthews, NC; son, Peter Gerula married to Maria Martella, Harrisburg; grandchildren, Glenda Martell, Toni Lynn married to Josh Osborne, Cari married to Shawn Blough, Cole Gerula and Lauren Gerula; and by great grandchildren, Alora, Jaxson and Indy; step grandchildren, Ronald G. Dietz, Rebecca Wilson (Chuck), Sherry Osman (Jonathan), Jeff Dietz, Sandra Tokarcik (Edward), Lanny (Jennifer), numerous step great grandchildren, and 3 step great great grandchildren. Also survived by special niece, Millie Beik and numerous other loving nieces, nephews and family members. Bertha was a graduate of Windber Area High School and Windber Hospital’s School of Nursing. She was employed as a Registered Nurse at Windber Hospital for many years, practiced homecare for Windber Hospice and private duty nursing. She was a faithful member of SS. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, Windber. Bertha was a special angel to all. Private family viewing at the funeral home and Funeral service at SS. Peter & Paul Orthodox Church, Windber, Fr. Miles Zdinak. Committal Church Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home, Windber.
