Alan R. Lehman

Lehman, Alan R., (MSgt, Ret.),90, Windber, died Sept. 14, 2021 at home. Born Oct. 30, 1930 in Scalp Level. He was the fifth of six children to Norman S., and Goldie A. (Wissinger) Lehman. Preceded in death by parents, son Eric P. Lehman, grandson Aaron J. Lehman,1^st wife Lura M. (Taylor), 2^nd wife Twila M. (Brumbaugh) Hajnos, brothers N. Eugene, Sheldon, H. Thomas and sisters Lillian L. Gordon and Dorothea I. Hunter. Survived by these children Carolyn, wife of Dave Sarver, Gene Lehman and wife Sherry, Becky Battah, Kathy Geiser, Elaine Novak, Dean Hajnos and wife Dori, Glenn Hajnos and wife PJ and daughter-in-law Farrah Lehman. Grandchildren Shannon (Tanya), Jamie (Natasha), Amir, Hiedi, Sofy, John, Aaron, Mark, Jeff, Monica (Greg), Greg, Amanda and Adam. Great-grandchildren Erin (Caleb), Kyle, My’a, Madyson, Trey, Octobyr, Eric, Alan, Zach, Erica, Dyllan, Elijah, Lydia, Eliza and Carson. Also 1 great-great granddaughter Hayden and sister-in-law Yvonne (Sloan) Lehman. Member Scalp Level Trinity United Methodist Church, Windber. Alan was retired from the Air Force after more than 21 years of service. He was a veteran of Korea and Vietnam. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am Monday at Scalp Level Trinity UMC, burial to follow at Sarver cemetery, Allegheny Twp., with Military Rites by the Somerset County Honor Guard.
