Shirley Mae Singer

Singer, Mrs. Shirley Mae, 82, Windber, passed away July 28, 2017, surrounded by family at home. Born May 10, 1935, in Scalp Level, the daughter of John and Elsie (Miller) Brumbaugh. Preceded in death by parents; husband Robert, brothers; Harry, Don, and John Brumbaugh and infant brothers, Glenn, and Billy Brumbaugh; sisters; Lois Gaston and Twila Lehman. Survived by loving daughter Linda, sons Edward, Randy and Thomas married to Lisa (Horner) Singer; Grandchildren Harry, Heather, Eddie, Ashley, Hillary, and Chelsey Singer and Aubrey Horner; great-grandchildren Alaina, Christopher, Lily, Zachary, Vincent, and Yamilet. Also survived by sisters Phyllis Hildebrand and Alma Ling; sister-in-law Evelyn Brumbaugh; brother-in-law Alan Lehman; and numerous nieces and nephews. Shirley enjoyed spending her winters in Florida and summers at home in Pennsylvania. She enjoyed bowling, sewing, and crafting and loved to go shopping and out to lunch with her family. Most of all, Shirley loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and feeding the dogs, Zoey and Evo. Shirley was devoted to God and a member of Scalp Level Trinity United Methodist Church. Family and friends will be received Sunday July 30, 2017 from 2 pm until time of funeral service at 6 p.m. at Meek and Dalla Valle Funeral Home Inc., Windber. Pastor Jim Sands, officiating .
