Nick Beckey, Jr.

Beckey, Nick Jr., 81, West Palm Beach, Fla, formerly of Windber, passed away peacefully Nov. 1, 2018 in West Palm Beach, Fla. He was born in Windber on Mar. 7, 1937. Nick was a longtime resident of West Melbourne, Fla, where he raised his family and worked for Harris Corp. He enjoyed golfing, hunting and playing cards and dice games with his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife Joanette Beckey and his parents Lucinda and Nick Beckey. Nick is survived by his children Renee George, Cheree King, Nick Beckey and Scott Beckey, brothers James, Richard and David Beckey. 12 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at 10 am Saturday at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home Inc., Windber. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Brevard Alzheimer’s Foundation.
