Mary Kay Datko

Datko, Mrs. Mary Kay, 83, Windber died June 16, 2017. Born May 29, 1934 in Windber daughter of the late John and Mary (Dinistran) Vinosky. Also preceded in death by sister Ann Kinash, infant son Damian, and infant daughter Diana. Survived by husband Joseph J. Datko, son Dr. Darrell Datko, married to former Christie Mellott, Clarion, and Dr. Donna Datko, wife of Greg Gossard, Richland Twp. Also survived by grandchildren Nathaniel and Eliza Datko, and Autumn, Morgan, and Logan Gossard. Aunt to Patricia Noon. Johnstown. Sister-in-law to Ann Kris, Johnstown, Joan, wife of William Shepler, GA, and Christine, wife of John Bodie, Johnstown.  Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Mary Kay was a long time employee at Windber Medical Center as a nurse anesthetist. She also was a teacher at Adm. Peary Vo-Tech, Ebensburg. She was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Windber where she was a Eucharistic Minister. She initiated the Stephen’s Ministry at Windber Medical Center and brought communion to Church of the Brethren Home residents on 3^rd Fridays. The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home, Inc., Windber where vigil for the deceased will be held. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church. Fr, Rod Soha, TOR. Commital St. Mary's Byzantine Cemetery, Windber.
