Evelyn J. "JuneBug" Wiant

Wiand, Evelyn J. “JuneBug,” 79, Geistown, passed away March 18, 2019. Born June 11, 1939 in Newport, TN. Daughter of the late Charles and Mary (Hale) Boley. Survived by her devoted husband of 40 years Paul Wiand and her loving children Larry Crutsinger, Chesapeake, VA, Deborah Beck, Portsmith, VA and Ann Creilson, Mass. Grandchildren Michalla, Sammy, Francine, Jack and Finn. Also survived by her brother Dan Boley, Reedville, VA and sister Catherine Mitchell, Smith Mountain Lake, VA. Also numerous nieces and nephews. JuneBug enjoyed cooking a variety of meals for family and friends. She also enjoyed flower arranging, which she learned while her husband was stationed in Japan. Just about everything she tried, she became proficient at. JuneBug never backed down from a challenge. If there was a will, she would find a way. JuneBug will be sadly missed by everyone whose lives she has touched.  The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 pm Friday and from 10 am until time of service at 11 am Saturday at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home Inc., Windber. Rev. Valerie Conrad-Dembinsky, officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in memory of JuneBug.
