Donna Lee Bunk’s journey on this earth ended on October 1, 2018 but her light shines on. Born February 10, 1954, Donna lived a full life of joys that included traveling to her favorite destination of Orlando, Florida and grazing outlet malls to find the best deal. These deals were not for herself, but for those she cared about. Donna had a heart of gold and would do anything to make the ones she loved feel her love. She lived to make her family smile. Christmas was her favorite season as she would show her love for the entire family by showing up with boxes full of gifts, leaving no one out, not even the dogs. Holiday gatherings were special to her because she could catch up with her close family and all of her extended family as well. Although traveling and shopping were her favorite activities, her greatest joy was found in her family. Having no children of her own, “Aunt” was the proudest title she was given and loved to tell stories of her nephew and niece. Close to her heart also were her brother Jeff and sister-in-law Mary whom she humbly became roommates with for the final months of her life. A stubborn soul, Donna fought the rare disease of amyloidosis until the final days when she peacefully passed on to join in heaven her Mother, Patricia; Father, Thomas; brother, Greg and sister Mary Jane. She leaves behind numerous friends and family members [Brother, Jeff Bunk and wife, Mary; Nephew, Jarrod Bunk and wife, Amelia; Niece, Jenna Bunk along with loving Aunts, Uncles and cousins] and will be missed dearly by all whose paths she crossed she always approached life with a positive and open outlook and is a light that will never flicker out. The family welcomes you to attend a memorial of her life from 5-8pm, Thursday, October 4, at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home Inc., Windber. A funeral mass will be held Friday, October 5 at 1:30 pm at St. Clements Catholic Church, Johnstown. Fr. Rosenbaum, pastor. Committal St. John Cantius Cemetery, Windber.
