Deanna Rae Bauer

Bauer, Deanna Rae, 74, of Toronto Ohio, passed away at home on June 19, 2018 after a courageous 7 year battle with cancer. Born Mar. 20, 1944 in Salix, PA. Daughter of Ralph E. and Beatrice (Blough) Manges-Beal. Preceded in death by her parents, step-father Charles E. Beal and siblings Leighton D. Manges, Duane “Dean” Manges, Sonja L. Calderon and Miriam R. Manges (infant). She is survived by husband Edward L. "Hank" Bauer, whom she married July 25,1964, daughter Kimberly Mollick and husband John of Toronto, Ohio, son Brian Bauer and wife Tami of Marysville, Ohio, sister Yvonne Horner of Salix, PA and numerous nieces and nephews. Deanna was a dedicated wife and homemaker of 54 years. She graduated from Adams Summerhill High School in 1963. She was a loving mother to her two children, Kimberly and Brian. Throughout her life, Deanna was driven by a desire to help all living creatures. She was generous and caring to friends and never met a stranger. Deanna rescued many animals over the years and also enjoyed taking care of her own cats. The family will receive friends from 12 noon until time of service at 2 pm Friday at Meek and Dalla Valle Funeral Home Inc., Windber. Rev. Valerie Conrad-Dembinsky officiating. Interment Dunmyer Cemetery, Salix.
