Betty J. (Shank) Strayer - Skender

Skender (Strayer), Betty J., 86, Richland died Sept. 14, 2019 at Windber Woods. Born Apr. 25, 1933 in Johnstown daughter of the late John H. and Ruth (Hysong) Shank.  Also preceded in death by first husband William Strayer, second husband Joseph Skender, and sister Dorothy Hurd.

Survived by these children: Debra Ann Snyder, Bedford, William Von (Colleen) Strayer, Key Largo, FL, and Denise, wife of Kevin Fox, Durango, CO. Also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. Betty was a former employee of former Lee Hospital in the payroll dept. Member of Bethany UMC, and Anna L. Windolph Chapter, OES. The family will receive friend from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home, Inc., Windber where service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. The Rev. Valerie Conrad-Dembinsky will officiate. Interment Richland Cemetery. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff of Windber Woods for the wonderful care they gave their mother.
