Beatrice Ruth Houghton

Houghton, Mrs. Beatrice Ruth, 90, Windber. Went to be with her Lord and Savior on Jan. 23, 2018. Born Apr. 19, 1927 in Windber. Daughter of Justin and Nancy (Lombardi) Vespa. Preceded in death by parents, husband Paul W., and siblings Arthur, James, Anthony, Rodger, Mary Dawson, and Frank. Survived by son Paul Houghton, II and daughter Patti, wife of Brad Shetler, both of Windber. Grandchildren Derrik Shetler and significant other Kait Johnson, Greensburg, Bradley Shetler, Windber and Bethany Shetler, Montana. Also special friend and caregiver Annie Vosnock. Member of Life Church, Windber. Ruth enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Special thanks to Medi Home Health and Windber Hospice for their care of Ruth. The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 pm Friday at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home Inc., Windber, and from 10 am until time of service 11 am, Saturday at Life Church, Windber. Pastor Rick Smith, officiating. Entombment Richland Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers memorial contribution may be made to Life Church, in c/o building fund 2400 Jackson Ave., Windber PA 15963 in memory of Ruth.
