Pierre, Richard T., “Frenchie,” 79, Windber, passed away July 5, 2022 at UPMC Altoona. Born March 13, 1943 in Windber. Son of James Anthony and Mary Ann “Polly” Pierre. Preceded in death by parents, son Richard Pierre and sisters Elese Dembensky, Margory Bryzana and Mary Zubek and brother Jim. Survived by wife Joyce A. (Klingensmith) Pierre and these children Renee Flickner, David Pierre, Mabel and husband Dominick, Mary and husband Terry, Jamie and husband Brad and Linda and husband Aaron. Grandson Keith Lehman and wife Olivia and their children Sydney, Blake and Taylor.  Brother to George Pierre, Kathleen DePolo and Barbara Edwards. Also numerous nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Graduate of Windber Area High School and was employed at various US steel mills and later became an electrician. He served in the US Army, 3^rd Infantry and enjoyed camping and fishing. The family will receive friends from 11 am until time of service at 1 pm Tuesday at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home, Windber.
