Margaret S. "Peg" (Ference) Swinger

Swinger, Margaret Suzanne (Ference) “Peg,” 60, Windber. Passed away July 31, 2022 at Windber Hospice. Born Sept. 3, 1961 in Windber. Daughter of Joseph and Phyllis (Taylor) Ference. Preceded in death by parents and infant brother David. Survived by loving husband of 44 years Randall L., and these children Randall Jr., and wife Jennifer, Addie, wife of Brett Marsh, Brett, wife of Lynn Crisi and Joseph Andrew and girlfriend Randileigh Phillips. Grandchildren Eryn, Laiken, Adilyn and Carter. Siblings Charlotte, wife of Harold “Red” Null, Georgette Roseberry, Viola wife of the late Stephen Troyan and Joe Ference and wife Lois. Also numerous brother and sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews and her dogs Missy and Bruiser. The most important thing in Peg’s life was her family. Her life revolved around her children but especially her grandchildren. She lived for her 4 beautiful granddaughters. When she wasn’t spending time with her family you could find her waitressing at Carlyn’s. She was the best waitress in town. Every night after work she was a regular at Sheetz getting her favorite mocha and her scratch offs. She loved gambling and was a lucky woman and anyone who crossed paths with her was lucky to have known her. She enjoyed going to the beach every summer with her family. She attended Scalp Level Church of the Brethren. Peg was the matriarch of the family and will be missed forever. She will always be our queen. The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm Wednesday at Meek and Dalla Valle Funeral Home, Windber, where funeral will be held at 11:00 am Thursday. Rev. Mark Murchie, officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to “For the Fallen,” 500 Jefferson Ave., Windber, PA 15963 in memory of Peg.
