David W. Parks

Parks, David W. Sr., 67 of Windber, passed away December 3, 2022 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born February 1, 1955 in Windber, son of the late William and Mildred (Pritt) Parks. Preceded in death by sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Phil Lucas; in-laws, Robert and Darlene Owens, daughter-in-law Kimberly Parks and many other family members. Survived by loving wife of 47 years, Deborah (Brown) Parks, Windber; children, David Parks Jr. (fiancé Sherry Gerula) and Dawn married to Jason Kirkwood; the loves of his life, his grandchildren, William, Jason and Garrett Kirkwood; and Michele, Abbigale and Ella Parks; brother, Paul Parks; also survived by numerous sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, cousins and nieces and nephews. Dave was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers, Penguins and Pirates fan, and most importantly his Windber Ramblers. His true love was spending time with his grandchildren. He loved to joke and kid around with everyone. Dave was a life member of Faith Tabernacle Congregation, Scalp Level. Family will receive friends Thursday, December 8th at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home of Windber, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. with the service directly following at the funeral home, Rev.
