Nick Angelo

Angelo, Nick, 91, Windber died peacefully Nov. 14, 2018 at Windber Woods. Born Apr. 18, 1927 in Windber son of the now late Fiore and Laura (Spadone) Angelucci. Also preceded in death by eight siblings, and great granddaughter Taylor Rae. Survived by wife of 66 years former Louise Bielski, and children Jeanne, wife of Ron Walko, Johnstown, Nick Angelo and wife Susan, Marietta, GA, and Lisa, wife of Kevin Griffin, Martinsburg, W VA. Loving grandfather to Amy and husband Scott Bowden, Apryle and husband David Scott, Ron & wife Dawn, Jamie and husband Justin, Nicky, Kevin and wife Megan, and Lindsey and husband Jeff. Also survived by great grandchildren Halle, Noah Bowden, Irelyn, Everley and Rowen Scott, Arabella, Alivia & Bryson Walko, and Parker Griffin. Nick served in the US Army as an MP during WW II. Member of the Abruzzi Lodge & American Legion, both of Windber. He was employed by former Berwind-White Coal Co., Angelo’s Hauling, Blue Star Construction, Weiss Bros. Construction. Dad’s fondest times were cooking in the kitchen, coffee & whiskey was his drink of choice. A special thank you to Audrey Bafile who was his angel in his last journey. Member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Windber where funeral Mass will celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Monday.  Fr. Rod, TOR, pastor.
