Janet L. (Campitell) Murtha

Murtha, Janet L. (Campitell),89, Windber, passed away March 19th, 2024 at home. Born October 10th, 1934 in Windber, daughter of the late Steven and Adeline (Chicarell) Campitell. Preceded in death by loving husband, Dick Murtha, who passed on September 17th, 2023; brothers, Paul Campitelli and Richard Campitell; also by sisters, Mary Sklodowski, Edith Glacken, Bernice Myers and Rose Haley. Survived by loving daughter, Kelly Jean married to Robert Statler; grandson, Ryan Statler; sisters-in-law, Donna Gallagher, Gayle Marie Weir and Patricia Campitell; also by numerous nieces and nephews. Janet was a devout Catholic, active member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Windber. She enjoyed spending time with her family and in her spare time watching game shows.  Family will receive friends Friday, March 22nd from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home of Windber, where vigil service will be held. Funeral mass will be celebrated 1:30 p.m. Saturday, March 23rd at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Windber, Fr. Rod. Committal at St. Anthony Cemetery, Windber. www.meekfuneralhome.com.
