Arthur C. Yeckley

Yeckley, Arthur Charles, 84, Windber, died April 10, 2024 at Windber Hospice. Born October 7, 1939 in Johnstown. Son of Merle G. and Mary G. (Noel) Yeckley. Preceded in death by parents, brother Wayne, who died as a child, sister Delores Hladio and daughter-in-law Debra Yeckley. Survived by wife of 62 years Sharon (Lawhead) Yeckley and these children Kevin Yeckley, widower of Debra, Calif., Jeffrey Yeckley and wife Michelle, Windber and Shawn Yeckley and wife Mandy, Utah. Grandchildren Chance, Cody, Danielle, Adelaid and Elise Yeckley and great-granddaughters Coraline and Zooey Yeckley. Retired steelworker with 36 years of service at Johnstown US Steel and Johnstown Corp, where he was a welder and heat treater. US Army veteran, where he served in Korea as a radio teletype operator. He loved hunting, fishing and sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and Penguins. He also enjoyed gardening and caring for livestock. Memorial service will be held at 11:00 am., Saturday, April 13, 2024 at Berkey Church, Windber. Pastor Yeckley, officiating. Arrangements by Meek and Dalla Valle Funeral Home, Windber.
