Zachary Tyler Updyke

Updyke, Zachary Tyler, 23, Windber, passed away Dec. 15, 2016. Born Jan. 22, 1993 at Chester County Hospital to Bonita L. Pollock and Douglas W. “Bear” Updyke, Sr. Preceded in death by brother Douglas W. Updyke, II in Nov. 2013. Survived by his parents, daughter Mia, sisters Melissa Bookman, Windber, PA and Rebecca Updyke, Boothwyn, PA, grandmother June Chambers, West Chester, PA, uncle Daryl Moats, Phoenixville, PA, aunts Tracy, wife of Roger Davis, Wyncott, PA, Nova, wife of Andre Peterson, West Chester, and Michelle, wife of Thomas Hadley, Coatesville, PA. Also nephews Les Jr. and Talan Bookman, cousin Jovonna and Xavier Wylie, whom he grew up with and many other cousins and dear friends. Zach was a loving father to his daughter and faithful and trusted friend to all he encountered. He would always put the needs of others before his own. The family will receive friends from 2 pm until time of memorial service at 4 pm Thursday at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home Inc., Windber.   Pastor Jim Sands, officiating.
