MOYER – William L. Sr. “Bill,” 72, passed away May 20, 2015, at Memorial Medical Center. Born Dec. 10, 1942, in Pittsburgh, son of the late Lawrence D. and Leona Mae (Pittman) Moyer. Survived by loving wife of 50 years, Carol Ann (McCartney) Moyer, Salix; children, Lisa, married to Victor Valchine, Windber; Pamela Bowen-Mardis, married to Scott, Elton; William Moyer Jr., Salix; and Amy Moyer, Sterling, Va.; brother, Charles R., married to the former Margaret Mainhart, Moxham; grandchildren, Victor, Daniel, Billie Jo, Jarrett and Jensen; great-grandchild, Shellby; brothers-in-law, Bob McCartney and Dolly, Eldred, Pa.; Bill McCartney and Corey, Phoenix; and Larry McCartney, Bradford, Pa.; and numerous nieces and nephews. Bill was a U.S. Navy veteran, where he served as an electronic technician, 2nd class. He was a former member and past post commander of Dunlo American Legion Post 573. Member of Windber American Legion Post 137. Founding and 30-year member of Cub Scout Pack 51, Salix. Bill worked as an electrician in the Bethlehem Mines for 20 years, retired from Norfolk Southern as an electrician, and was a former member of United Mine Workers 6411. Family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 22, at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home Inc., Windber, where Windber American Legion 137 will conduct service at 7 p.m. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 23, at the funeral home, the Rev.
