William P. Askey

ASKEY – William P., 61, Windber, passed away Aug. 27, 2015, near Philadelphia. Born April 8, 1954, in Windber, son of Michael Askey and Gladys (Drenning) Bucci. Preceded in death by parents; infant girls, Kaitlyn and Alana Rose; and two other infants. Survived by dad, Mauro “Mooch” Bucci; wife of 23 years, Vickie (Evans); children, Shaun, Central City; Heather Askey, and friend, Ed Carmack, Delmont, Pa.; and Meghan, Kayla, Ryan, Paige and Leah Askey, all at home; grandchildren, Amanda and Gabby Askey; sister, Vicki, wife of Frank Smith, Durham, N.C.; and nephew, Richard Smith, Greensboro, N.C. Bill was a proud father and grandfather. He was a longtime over-the-road trucker and Windber Area High School graduate, Class of 1973. He also was an Air Force veteran. Family will receive friends from 2 p.m. until time of memorial service at 4 p.m. Sunday at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home Inc., Windber, Deacon John Caddy, officiating.
