Wayne R. Shaffer

Shaffer, Wayne R., 71, Windber, passed away June 10, 2016 at home.  Born Apr. 17, 1945 in Windber.  Son of the late Clair and Hilda (Weaver) Shaffer.  Survived by loving wife of 46 years Betty Ann (Weible) and son Brandon, married to Lynanne (Mickle), McDonald, PA. Granddaughters Noelle and Laila, whom Wayne adored.  Siblings Linda, wife of Don Evanchock, Hooversville, Janet, wife of John Toth, Windber, Allan Shaffer and wife Julie, Somerset, and Kathy, wife of Mike Kubas, Wilbur.  Also numerous nieces, nephews, and everyone who helped on the farm.  Member of Berkey Church of the Brethren, Windber.  Wayne retired from Galliker Dairy Co. after 37 years, he enjoyed working on the farm and going to camp in Potter county.  The family will receive friends from 2-4 and 6-8 pm Wednesday at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home Inc., Windber, and from 2 pm until time of service at 3 pm Thursday at Berkey Church of the Brethren, Windber.  Pastors Crissman’s officiating.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Windber Hospice, 600 Somerset Ave., Windber, PA 15963 in memory of Wayne.
