Vaughn L. Foor

Foor, Vaughn L., 90, Davidsville.  Passed away Jun. 16, 2016 at Memorial Medical Center.  Born Oct. 4, 1925 in Bedford.  Son of Custer H. and Gaynell May (Smith) Foor.  Preceded in death by parents, wife Deasta (McClemens), grandson Cory Matthew Foor, and siblings Mona Foor, Berlin Foor, Ila Foor and Orma Foor.  Survived by children Gary, and wife Marie Beth (Kelly), Davidsville, Richard, Johnstown, Beverly, Davidsville, and James, Blough.  Grandchildren Stephen Foor, and Melanie wife of Brian Harris, both of Johnstown.  Brother to Vera Marshell, North Carolina and Dallas Foor, Everett.  Nieces and nephews Margaret Ann Marshell, Erani Kay Fisher, Terry Lee Carniago, Terri Miller, Kenneth Foor, Kelly Leister, Timothy Foor, Cheryl Bowen, Renee Hagerty and their families.  Also bestfriend Richard “Dick” Sefick and his children Sue, and husband Fran, Rick and wife Roberta, Shawn and Lisa, whom Vaughn was very close to.

Army Veteran WWII, where he served from 1944 to 1946.  He received the Bronze Star and Purple Heart.  Vaughn retired from Bethlehem Steel as an electrician, then worked for Jesco, Windber. He was a member of Tire Hill Rod and Gun Club and was an avid sportsman. Former member Rays Cove Christian Church, Breezewood, PA.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm, Monday at Meek & Dalla Valle Funeral Home Inc., Windber.  Funeral will be held at 11 am Tuesday at Rays Cove Christian Church, Breezewood. Rev. Dr. Frank Brosius, officiating. Interment church cemetery.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to a charity of your choice in memory of Vaughn.
